As the Creative Director at the John Locke Foundation, a nonprofit free-market think tank, I overhauled our branding and creative output, aligning the visual and creative elements of our research, marketing, and fundraising efforts with broader organizational goals. Leading a team of experienced design and video professionals, I cultivated strong relationships with a diverse network of freelance creatives, accomplishing both functional and project-based goals. I reported alternately to the Executive Vice President and VP of Communications, managing multiple concurrent design, film, and video projects. I designed and developed a studio production facility within Locke and recruited key talent we needed for an efficient production workflow. Additionally, I initiated efforts toward building a culture of organizational creativity, resulting in a massive increase of ideation and production within my department and across the wider organization.

Managed the expansion of print and digital publication design and production, as well as branding and marketing design efforts. I led new strategic initiatives, advised the CEO on publishing and marketing, and was responsible for the redesign of multiple magazines, newspapers, and digital products. I helped design interns gain experience and explore their talents.

Working for the Audience Development Director, I created and managed social media, direct mail, and email marketing campaigns to increase our audience across print, digital, and events. I also produced weekly and monthly analytics reports to help us gauge our success and adjust our strategy accordingly. Some of our key successes were a 60% increase in event attendance year over year and a dramatic increase in digital subscription growth over a three year period. I was also responsible for graphic design, video production, and photography.
