Deciding to grow the Murphy’s brand, in the summer of 2009 the owner decided to convert SOBO American Bistro into the casual dining concept known as Murphy’s Neighborhood Restaurant.Prior to the transition to Murphy’s, I was promoted to General Manager, during which time I recruited and trained new and current staff for the new concept.Throughout my first few years at Murphy’s South I grew sales annually on average of 13%. With such growth and maintaining expenses and costs below budget, we were able to implement an aggressive debt repayment strategy. In addition to the day-to-day tasks of creating a memorable dining experience, as General Manager, I am the Accounting, Bookkeeping and Human Resources Department.
