Founded the D.Start program - an innovation and entrepreneurship program that empowers Australian academics, start-ups, and small-to-medium enterprises to connect with Defence, identify a real-world application for their science or technology and attract the resources they need to translate it to capability

I founded the Defence Research Accelerator under the Next Generation Technologies Fund - building a Defence focused ecosystem to support researchers, startups and innovation communities to rapidly address Defence challenges.

I was the project manager for DST Group's innovation strategic initiative, focused on renewing the organisation's internal innovation challenges and strengthening our role as the innovation integrator for Defence. During this time I made a significant contribution to the organisation's innovation strategy and coordinated a number of activities with distributed cross-divisional teams.

I led DST Group's modelling and simulation (M&S) activities for the ANZAC Anti-Ship Missile Defence (ASMD) upgrade program. To mitigate the risk of integrating new systems on board the ANZAC frigates we supported the combat system vendor in building and executing a simulation capability to evaluate the performance of the integrated systems. I also led the design and implementation of distributed simulation systems to support human-in-the-loop experimentation for command and control of maritime platforms and uninhabited aerial vehicles.I contributed to research supporting simulation architecture concepts and combat system analysis, and conducted research in the use of web technologies applied to M&S analysis, visualisation and reporting.I was the Australian representative for the Maritime Theatre Missile Defence (MTMD) M&S Working Group, contributing to the international MTMD Forum in the lead up to the 2015 at-sea demonstration to increase the interoperability of coalition maritime forces.
