Responsible for the design and development of scientific instruments for particle physics and astronomy research experiments. Current projects include: * Design, fabrication, and assembly of the SENSEI dark matter detector vessel, internals, and CCD modules * Support of operations for the Phase 1 CMS Forward Pixel Detector at CERN * Assembly process development for disk modules for the STAR experiment at Brookhaven * Assembly process development for the Type 2S outer tracker modules for the CMS experiment at CERNPrevious projects include: * Production of CCD modules for the DESI multi-fiber spectrograph to be installed on the 4m Mayall telescope * Mechanical project engineer for the US-CMS Phase 1 detector upgrade at the CERN laboratory * Development of low-background-radiation CCD arrays for the DAMIC dark matter detector and the CONNIE nuclear research detector * Fabrication of the Silicon Vertex Detector modules for the CLAS12 experiment at the Jefferson Accelerator Laboratory * Development of CCDs for use in high-resolution neutron imaging * The Dark Energy Survey Camera, a 570 Megapixel digital camera (the second largest in the world) for the Blanco 4m telescope at the CTIO observatory in Chile * Generic CCD module development for future dark energy astronomy projects * The CMS Forward Pixel detectors for high-energy physics research, including a 6 month assignment at the CERN laboratory in Geneva Switzerland for installation & commissioning * The CDF Run2B SVX detector for high-energy physics research * The CDF SVXII silicon vertex detector for high-energy physics research * The DZero H-Disk detectors for high-energy physics research
