Currently employed as the License Compliance Manager at Security Engineers Inc., Birmingham, Alabama. I assist the company security officers in acquiring their state security officer license and certification and ensure all applicants do not have any Disqualifying Convictions that would prohibit them from acquiring a security officer state license. I also administer the required refresher in service training to the security officers in order to meet the requirements of the Alabama Security Regulatory Board. Currently licensed as a Certified Trainer 1 and a Armed Security Officer through the Alabama Security Regulatory Board.I am retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Ashland, KY., as a Legal Instrument Examiner. My 23 year career with the Bureau of Prisons was both challenging and rewarding. My primary duties with the Bureau of Prisons, involved gathering and analyzing data from various federal and state sources to accurately complete federal sentence computations. I communicated daily with staff, inmates and outside agencies to plan the movement of inmates safely in and out of the institution. Training and Supervision of staff and inmates was also a part of my daily activities. Additionally, I was a member of the institution Hostage Negotiation Team. I am considered dependable, timely, responsible, responsive and capable. My work ethic and depth of character has been molded by years of experience working in the challenging conditions of a correctional setting. During my time with the Bureau of Prisons and US Army, I was exposed to some great leaders and I have incorporated many of the leadership skills they possessed. I am a Marshall University alum. Go Herd! My wife and I moved to the Birmingham area in 2011 from West Virginia to be in her home state of Alabama. We love it here!
