I’m currently focused on developing an innovative design group at IDC, where we’re leveraging advanced technologies and processes to deliver projects more reliably and efficiently. My approach centers around teamwork and finding context-sensitive solutions to tackle the complex challenges we face. I believe in the power of collaboration, and I try to encourage that in everything I do, helping our teams stay agile and effective as the industry embraces digital transformation and information modeling.With 24 years of experience in structural engineering and project management, I’ve had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects within the transportation sector. I’m passionate about finding ways to improve how we deliver projects, and I believe that new tools and management concepts play a key role in helping us adapt to a rapidly changing market.My technical background spans many facets of bridge design, including accelerated bridge construction, seismic analysis and retrofitting, and problem-solving throughout the lifecycle of a project—from planning and bid development to final design and construction.In recent years, I’ve focused heavily on Design-Build projects, where I’ve led teams and coordinated design efforts with contractors, agencies, and design teams. These projects, which have ranged from $270M to $1.3B, have given me a deep understanding of specifications and guidelines across AASHTO, Caltrans, High-Speed Rail, UPRR, BNSF, and AREMA, helping me deliver PS&E packages with precision.I’m always looking for new ways to contribute to better project delivery and am excited to continue growing with our industry’s evolving methods.
