As a member of the senior leadership team, I lead the efforts to upgrade all of the analytics tools to the latest versions to be able to take advantage of the ever changing data Science technologies. And, am now working on our next step which will be to migrate our Data Science platform to the cloud.

The Data Integration Services team is comprised of Data Analysts and ETL Developers, who are responsible for implementing Evariant’s CRM and PRM products for our external clients, and supporting those clients based on the contractual obligations with each. Integration includes configuration data, client supplied data (via source files or HL7), 3rd party demographic market data, and claims data. These products are Cloud based applications built on SalesForce platforms with links to underlying Netezza Data Marts, where Informatica Software is used for the data integration tool.

As a member of the senior leadership team for Business Intelligence at GE Capital, I am responsible for directly supporting the Head of BI for the Service Delivery organization. The Business Intelligence team provides data, reports, dashboards, and analytics for GECA, using technologies such as Informatica, Business Objects, Oracle, OBIEE, Spotfire, Qlikview, SAS, and Teradata. As the Service Delivery manager for BI, I manage a team that provides 24 x 7 support and maintenance for these platforms and over 50 applications, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse.• Service Delivery is focused on customer satisfaction. My main focus is to improve efficiencies and simplify processes to keep all critical applications up, keep incidents down, and to make our SLAs, while keeping the budget in line with expectations. • Responsibilities include: Requirements Analysis, Infrastructure planning, Software currency, Code and Process documentation, training, integration testing, production implementation, SOX Compliance, code review and governance, and production support. Production support includes operational improvements, enhancements, and fixes for performance, code, and data related issues • I am also responsible for ensuring that Data Governance, Best Practices, Change and Incident Management, DR and BCP, and any and all compliance and regulatory requirements are adhered to. • As I have done in previous positions, I am working on better metrics, reporting, and dashboards to measure our own work flows, to allow us to become pro-active in areas such as Incidents, Performance issues, and data quality. Being reactive in this type of role is a losing proposition.

The Enterprise Integration Operations team is focused on Data Integration including support of ING’s Enterprise Data Warehouse Platform, and Enterprise Application integration including support of ING’sEnterprise Service Bus and B2B. In that role, I expanded the responsibilities of the team to cover all ofthe ING lines of business, with a goal of becoming the ETL Competency Center for all of ING USFS.This Competency Center model provided a true cost savings to all Lines of Business at ING by Consolidating the Data Integration function into a single shared team.• Successfully consolidated a diverse set of 50+ ETL applications onto a consistent new ETL platform environment. This saved ING over $200K/year on Hardware and Software costs, insures software currency, and reduced the labor costs to support the environments. • Process Owner for a Six Sigma project that reduced the load times of our largest ETL schedule by 40%, reduced the number of abends by 50% and improved data integrity. Since that project officially concluded, has continued to improve these numbers 2 fold! (ING Six Sigma Green Belt.)• On-boarded production support of 8 additional ETL applications over the past several years, without any increase in staff.• Involved in several Vendor POCs. Most recently worked with IBM on a schedule conversion "robot". My team proved the concept and converted over 4,000 jobs from ING’s old scheduler to TWS, under extremely tight time lines, which saved ING a $900,000 fee in the first year.• Participated in multiple data center rehostings, server consolidations and software upgrade projects. Experienced in moving apps to completely different operating systems (Unix to Linux), different RDMSs (Oracle to DB2), and to newer versions of existing OSs, DBMSs, and software.

Managed the ETL support team, and transformed it into a high performance organization. This team was responsible for supporting 20 disparate applications, developed with a wide range of software products andlanguages running on a multitude of different operating systems, the largest of which was our 13 TB Enterprise Information Platform. Gained a strong understanding of the design and development methodologies for implementing Business Intelligence Data Warehousing solutions. Key Contributions:Directs the ETL Production Support team, and am responsible for all ETL off-shift support, ETL production scheduling, Implementation of automated monitoring and event notifications, ETL software currency, product administration and environment support, Problem and Change management, enforcing "best practices" during production implementations, developing and maintaining production support and applications cross training documentation, and establishing and managing all SLAs with customers Part of the core development team for ING's EII (Enterprise Information Infrastructure) project. This nationally recognized project successfully loaded data from 16 separate source systems into IBM's IIA data model for financial institutions. Lead developer for several ETL applications, which were implemented on time and under budget.Provide ETL consulting services for application areas. Responsible for charge back accountability and verification, for the production support team. Involved in creation of ETL standards, processes, and procedures, and best practices, and responsible for maintaining all associated documentation. Calculate ETAs for projects, as well as evaluating external vendor products for possible installation and customization, to create business solutions for our internal customers.

Involved in the development and installation of a Web-enabled Data Warehouse solution for the Aetna FinancialServices Compliance department. Involved in all aspects of the project from interviewing the business customers todeveloping requirements. Key Contributions:Helped development of extracts from the various source systems to load the data warehouse.Gained a working knowledge of the Informatica PowerCenter ETL tool. Responsible for training the rest of the development staff in the use of the Brio reporting tool, and for verification testing that the Brio software met all of the requirements for the project, that the vendor had claimed.

Involved in the evolution of several applications from Mainframe based technologies to Distributed environments. Key Contributions: Lead developer on a project to convert a large helpdesk application from Oracle to DB2/UDB. Installed and customized a live two-way interface between a Tivoli helpdesk application and an IBM mainframe problem management application. Developed automatic e-mail notification for an Oracle based IT security application, using Oracle triggers to execute functions written in PL/SQL. Part of a development team customizing the Software Artistry product suite, which is a proprietary application, using Oracle client server technology.
