Edwards is a senior executive with experience in Fortune 500, consulting, and entrepreneurial, venture-backed businesses.Edwards co-founded Map Ventures, Inc. ("MVI"). MVI focuses on founding (or finding), incubating, and financing companies in the digital map, autonomous driving, and movement analytics industries. He previously was Senior Vice President of Operations for NAVTEQ Corporation, a subsidiary of Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK). Edwards was responsible for global operations and over 2,000 employees in over 80 countries, including major production centers in North America, Mexico, Eastern Europe, and India. Edwards joined NAVTEQ in 2001 as Vice President of Finance, where he successfully prepared for the Company’s IPO efforts in 2004. Before joining NAVTEQ Edwards was COO/CFO of Scorecard, USA, an internet start-up company involved in amateur athletic applications on the internet and also served as CFO of Arthur Andersen Technology Solutions.Previously, Edwards spent 15 years with The Walt Disney Company, including executive positions in Finance, Business Development, and Strategic Planning.Edwards also controls JGE Development LLC, a private equity company engaged in the management of several private equity investments real estate development, hospitality, and entertainment industries.
