As part of Public Safety - Records, Communications and Compliance Division (RCCD), I am tasked with defining the roles of the Business Analyst within the organization through the creation of the Business Process Management Office (BPMO) within RCCD. My team will be works closely with multiple units within RCCD as well as other external stakeholders (within the State of Nevada) to further the technological business needs of the organization not only to meet current federal standards but also to bring the State of Nevada more inline with other states. As a working manager, I am tasked with evaluating the project workload of my team divvying up the projects that we currently are working on as well as taking on a project workload of my own. Through the process of business analysis, problem solving and where needed adding in cost benefit analysis, I have gained a better perspective of the needs of all the projects within our division allowing me the ability to strategize with my executive management team for project prioritization, budgetary planning, and budgetary foresight during our biennial budget cycles.

As part of my duties with DWSS, I work with the different agencies and counties within the State of Nevada. Together we work on system enhancements to the Welfare and Supportive Services Systems to better serve the needs of welfare recipients within the state. Being ITIL V3 (Foundations Certified) and PMP Trained I use these methodologies to translate customer needs and wants into hard technical and project requirements for our development staff. This is effectively working as a "liaison" between the two parties with the ability to speak "geek" as well as "customer SME".

As a Business Process Analyst I with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services I worked closely with the programmers of the State of Nevada's Welfare system. Specifically, I was a systems tester for the IV-D portion of Welfare (divorce and child support) and worked with many different aspects of the IV-D community to better understand and fully regression test all new enhancements coming to the system.

Responsible Project Manager/Lead for the Web Services Unit. Items included daily ticket queue approvals and implementations, project planning, stakeholder meetings, graphics design, trend and technology research, and a variety of items implemented on testing environment to see how they would benefit the Court.  Project Leadership duties within Foreclosure Mediation Program regarding the implementation of a Case Management System (CMS) for the program to properly track all items being recorded by state regulation of Administrative Docket(ADKT) 410 and Assembly Bill (AB) 149 Working with Foreclosure Mediation team to ensure all documented cases will not be duplicated between paper process and digitized intake process Documentation and implementation of procedures for Foreclosure Mediation Program Managing and Overseeing Web Master position employee with instruction on daily, weekly, hourly duties. Working with the Web Master to determine new enhancements for the Court’s multiple website (both internal and external) and project planning Initial Project Leader and Systems developer for State of Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program (FMP) Case Management System (CMS). This project entailed numerous meetings with stakeholders throughout the State of Nevada Judiciary and other agencies to determine the most practical application of FMP CMS. Due to the nature of the program the timeline to implement a working product was very compressed and had influence and financial backing from multiple agencies within the state. Recommendation, Planning, and implementation of systems both internal and external to the Court. These included: Evaluation, Development, Creation, Test, and Implementation of said system in multiple test and development environments to ensure stability and reliability for both internal and external websites.

 Managing and Overseeing small representative companies that are commissioned to represent ILSI America and our products in different regions of the world. Daily conversations with our franchised distribution companies in Florida and New York, weekly meetings with customers in states such as Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Texas and California are not uncommon. Each individual company can contain anywhere between two and fifteen associates that directly report to me. Direct correspondence with customers from varying parts of the United States, Mexico and South America happens on weekly, if not daily basis. The customer base for ILSI America spans the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, China, Western Europe and Japan.  Communications with Lead Design Engineers from various customer companies, such as Honeywell, Raytheon, Panasonic Avionics and MC Assembly, in determining the best ILSI product for their application(s). Application(s) can range from Zigbee applications, Broadband modem design to WiMax application and support. Networking with representative company’s associates to provide products and customer service to clientele troubleshoot product problems and issues and if needed schedule meetings with heads of companies and design teams to rectify any issues.

IT Management Duties include:  Provide training to other company employees on new software updates and implementations.  Provide general hardware and software troubleshooting in the office environment, including but not limited to: identifying, evaluating, testing and recommending new products and services. Managing all software updates for company specific applications and Windows products.  Daily tape back-up as well as USB hard drive backup, to be taken off-site on a nightly basis, of all essential files on company NAS and Windows 2000 server.  Database Management of employee profiles via Active Directory in Windows 2000 environment.  Monitoring of SQL replication with our web-hosting company in San Francisco on a bi-weekly basis. Account Manager Duties include:  Daily correspondence with customers about their specific account with our company in regards to specific EPA laws and Regulatory compliance.  Data entry of customer product usage (specifically VOC count and air quality measures necessary in California) in GRC/PIRK specific applications.  Data entry of annual emissions reports for customers as well as situational problem troubleshooting.  Correspondence with customers’ jobber, jobbers are authorized and licensed paint product resellers, to help remedy situational problems due to possible product incompatibility and non-compliance with EPA laws and regulations.

 Perform junior application-engineering work for Research and Development team. Help company IT professional with implementation of new Enterprise Resource Planning software, along with troubleshooting database and quality testing of new patches for the system Help troubleshoot customer application issues and product issues Perform daily receptionist duties including: answer phones, sort mail, catalog all customer quotations, answer international and domestic customer requests and inquires Efficiently handle any and all customer inquires and orders
