A brief career as an electronics/telecommunications technician ended in 1991 when I was arrested for a murder I did not commit. In 1993, I was found guilty and sentenced to the rest of my natural life in prison.During incarceration I utilized the time by taking advantage of education and work opportunities, while always fighting my case.In February, 2010 I was ruled "Innocent" by the unanimous vote of three judges empaneled through the North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission process. This was the first ruling of its kind in U.S. History.Now I spend my time telling my story with the goal of reforming the System in order to increase the reliability of convictions and to decrease the amount of time it takes to obtain the freedom of those convicted who are innocent.--------------------Currently, I work as a software developer, utilizing the skills acquired by studying throughout the years of incarceration.
