FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES HAVE A MAJOR MBE SPEND OPPORTUNITYFORTUNE 500 companies spend approximately $6.25 trillion annually with their suppliers.* Many of these companies have supplier diversity initiatives and set annual Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) spend targets of 10% to 15% of the total spend. This is represents $625 billion to $938 billion of annual spend! Unfortunately, the actual MBE spend is only 2% of the total or $125 billion. This $800 Billion spending gap represents a transformational opportunity for Minority Business Enterprises and Fortune 500 companies.* Imputed spend based upon Ariel Investments February 28, 2021 Announcement, “Introducing Ariel Alternatives and Project Black”WHY IS IT DIFFICULT FOR FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES TO ACHIEVE THEIR ANNUAL MBE SPEND TARGETS?PROBLEM #1: Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) are typically smaller firms that lack the operational, organizational and financial resources required to effectively serve the needs of Fortune 500 clients.OUR SOLUTION: Latiker targets non-MBE suppliers for acquisition that have proven scale capabilities and already serve Fortune 500 clients. We seek MBE certification of the company post acquisition and provide investments to achieve the growth potential of the business.PROBLEM #2: FORTUNE 500 Companies and smaller firms often lack the supplier diversity “success know-how” required to help diverse suppliers thrive within their supply chain.OUR SOLUTION: Latiker has developed a proprietary system that is proven to rapidly increase the number, size and capability of diverse suppliers. The system is called SOAR™ (“Supplier Opportunities, Assessment & Resources). Latiker will offer SOAR™ to companies where Latiker is a diverse supplier.Learn more about our capabilities here (https://bit.ly/3jrJ4T5)
