Greg suffers from middle child syndrome & red hair. Forgotten by his parents, he’s been working extra hard to make a name for himself in the advertising world. This hard work has led Greg to his current position as Managing Director at Sweet Shop Australia. But to find out how he got here, we need to start at the beginning.From an early age, Greg knew a man was not made in the classroom. He began his working life as a shipbuilder, saved his pennies & headed out on a journey to North America. Along the way, he worked at a water sports camp in Vancouver and risked his life in a un-roadworthy van.With his new knowledge of the world, he joined BMF in 2007 and began work as a TV producer. The next 6 years saw Greg produce jobs for every client group in the agency’s roster, including ALDI, Lion Nathan, MLA, Expedia and P&O. Greg quickly rose up the ranks with his ability to manage time sensitive projects without compromising creative and production quality.Looking for more opportunities to grow and continue persuading his parents he really was a success, he joined Saatchi and Saatchi. Projects for Toyota, Cadbury, Luxotica, St. George and NIB went on to win international fame and awards. Around this time Greg looked in the mirror and decided a change was needed. So Greg made a change. He began working on the production side to develop a deeper understanding of how work is produced away from the agency world. First he worked at Rabbit Content steering the work of one of Australia’s fastest growing production companies. This was followed by the position of Executive Producer for Blockhead VFX. Part of this task was setting up their first venture into Australia, running the Sydney office and setting them onto the path of success.All of which brings us to modern-day 2024 Greg and his role as Managing Director of The Sweetshop. His parents by this stage have no idea what he does, but do feel proud of him.
