Dr. Gregg S. Berkowitz is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with substantial interest in the area of cartilage injury and repair. As Director of the Cartilage Restoration Center of New Jersey (CRC), Dr. Berkowitz is devoted to the treatment of cartilaginous injuries and damage to the knee and other joints. Throughout his career, Dr. Berkowitz has helped thousands of patients with injuries of the knee, shoulder and ankle in addition to various other orthopedic problems, while studying and researching advanced methods of cartilage repair.An athlete himself, Dr. Berkowitz is an avid runner, skier, cyclist, golfer, basketball player and dedicated practitioner of yoga. Through both personal and patient experiences, he has become extremely familiar with the nature of cartilage injuries, as well as the profound desire of active individuals to preserve their native joints, and return to full activity.
