• Month end tasks (accruals, prepayments, deferred maintenance, intercompany royalties, detailed TB review, calculation of central service recharge, monthly cash movement analysis, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and ledger closing)• Production of monthly management accounts for three entities• Bank & Cash reconciliations (five bank accounts)• Sales Ledger & Credit control (£18m turnover 2012 and £8m turnover 2013)• Maintaining short term cash flow projections• Produce weekly debtors report (Generally less than 4% of aged debt in the 60-90+ buckets)• Calculate sale commissions• Ad Hoc business information/analysis for the Exec team• Company credit cards administration• Accounts payable & BACS payments• VAT returns• Maintain fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation• Fixed asset inventory (around 700 assets with a current Net Book Value of £800k)Key Achievements:• I put together a business case for the Exec team to source and arranged installations of Dyson Airblades hand driers to replace paper towels in the office toilets, this is set to save the company £14k on paper towels over the next four years factoring in unit depreciation and running costs.• I negotiated two new energy contracts with GDF Suez set to save £18k per year on Electricity and £12k per year on Gas compared to the old suppliers.• I implemented a streamlined method for exporting data from the digital company credit card statement to pull through to an Excel spreadsheet, this created the relevant journals for posting to the accounting package and minimised errors that could have occurred with manual entry.• I researched and worked closely with our Sage supplier to help implement a paperless remittance advice system which saved time and postage costs by eliminating the need to send out paper copies, this was then also applied to the sales ledger to include sales invoices, statements and reminder letters.
