We processed more than 6M transactions per day at many sites and up to 700 per second in a number of the larger ones. Utiba pioneered mobile money transfer via SMS several years before Safaricom and mPesa visited Globe Telecom and copied our solution (Which was OK! Just wish mobile money could have happened faster everywhere, but going from cash and checks to phone taps and synapse snaps is a big leap).

Valista was an early mobile payments software and services provider to mobile operators, ISPs and financial institutions, based near Dublin during the height of the Celtic Tiger startup era. Brilliant people, and the first payments system provider to NTT DoCoMo, an amazing coup by a company about 15 years ahead of its time.

ITXC was a $1B provider of VOIP telephony during the period of transition from switched-circuit networks of the 20th century to native Internet everything now. We moved our family to Singapore following tech's 2001 collapse for our children's schooling, and stayed.

We were 1,500 hundred strong, building out public telecom infrastructure for Globe Telecom, Smart Communications, PLDT, Islacom, and Bayantel throughout the Philippines. And then we were none.
