Picked the best location and prepared presentation to show to prospective partners to get the well drilled.• Devonian Nisku Reefs are difficult to differentiate on seismic from the offsetting shales. AVO and LMR techniques proved unreliable. Time slicing down from a reliable horizon and paying particular attention to the amplitudes over a very limited window, resulted in the drilling of two very successful wells.• Responsible for the drilling of approximately 100 wells with a success rate in the order of 80%.
