Jan 1999 to April 2000In January 1999 I moved from Michigan to Buenos Aires for a 15 month assignment. My roles were as a business analyst for the Banco Fiat customer, a trainer and a developer. This involved working with the customer to define requirements and managing those requirements through to implementation. During this time the development of the system was moved from Michigan to a local team in Buenos Aires to reduce costs to the customer. I was responsible for training the local team in the business requirements and different technical areas. This was a very demanding position as meetings often took place in a mix of Italian, Spanish and English so defining requirements from these meetings was very challenging.Mar 1995 to Dec 1998I had a number of roles during this time ranging from business analyst to team leader to VB4/Sybase developer. My main accomplishment was managing a team of 5 people for 5 months to develop and implement a new release of the system that allowed Banco Fiat to open an office in Argentina on schedule. As well as coordinating the different development activities for this project, assigning tasks to individuals and writing the business requirements, I was also involved in the system design and was a VB4 and SQL developer for this release. This involved taking the existing system and designing and developing new functionality to meet the unique legal and business requirements in Argentina.
