 Perform Human Resource generalist functions in areas of benefit program administration, employment activities, and workers compensation.  Communicated effectively with a diverse customer population.  Experience presenting to diverse employee population - Presented the life insurance benefit as well as short and long-term disability program to new hires at centralized orientation.  Training on benefits orientation and also one-on-one benefits counseling.  Administered the self-study orientation program.  Assist employees seeking information and guidance concerning benefit plans, as well as inform employees concerning benefits, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Correspond with employees or employee’s departments concerning benefits continuation/terminations, workers compensation, etc.  Manage the transitional pool for workers comp.  Manage all aspects of the fingerprint process for health system employees. Investigate, analyze and resolve issues or problems related to an employee’s payroll contributions for benefits or investigates and resolves disputes between employees and insurance carriers. Assisted employees during Benefits Open Enrollment, Housestaff orientation, exit interviews and separation processes.

 Chief duties of this position were problem resolution and customer service.  Assisted with Open Enrollment process for the new MCVH Choice benefits package. Performed Workforce Transition Act (WTA) audit and problem solved any and all resulting issues, following through to completion with employee and any related department (payroll, employment, leave control, etc.).  Role included benefit counseling, problem follow through and resolution, often handling disgruntled employees.  Served as the primary contact for the retirement, dental, health, vision, and prescriptions vendors.  Utilized the Human Resource System and Genesys system for data entry and retrieval of data to resolve issues with employees and vendors.
