Implementation of a program to deliver Data Analytics within a private cloud environment, including structured, unstructured, big data, and support advanced analytics across multiple business areas.

FIG Informatics includes Biometrics & Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Drug Safety, Partnering / Planning & Portfolio, Regulatory & Quality• Defined, created, and directed Global Project Management and the portfolio within the IT Organization (30 project managers). Ensured excellence in program/project delivery, management of the portfolio, and delivering the defined benefits and objectives expected from the portfolio.• Initiated and directed the program for the implementation of a new Drug Safety System as the informatics program manager. This included the development of the program strategy, roadmap, governance, business relationship management, vendor management/negotiations, and budgeting/estimating to implement the program. The 35 million dollar program was delivered according to the defined benefits, schedule, cost, and quality. • Restructured and led the CTMS program (Clinical Trial Management System) to bring an effective governance and tracking of the troubled program, and to enable the delivery of business benefits that were needed. As a result, the 30 Million dollar global program was brought back on track, all executive leadership and business goals for the program were met, and business confidence for future releases was greatly improved.

• Developed the strategy, business planning, and initiation of a program for a new eCDMS/EDC system (web based Electronic Data Capture and Clinical Data Management System), which provided a solid basis for the development of the future clinical systems to support EDM (Electronic Data Management), Statistical Programming and Analysis, Development IT, and Clinical departments.• Managed the technical support group of Novartis EDC and instituted processes which improved the support and usage of the EDC system, and improved the communications within the application development and application support departments. The overall improvements led to a 30% reduction of people needed in the technical support group.• Directed the development, implementation, and deployment of an enhanced EDC system. This was a highly visible global program which resulted in the reduction of data queries by 90% and a reduction of the median time for database lock from more than 7 weeks to just 5 days. • Setup and directed a new EDC Technology and Application Development team, including the a new project management organization and the hiring / management of 18 employees/consultants.• Championed the business needs, systems and technology of a global initiative to evaluate EDC for the collection of clinical data. The results of the project led to the selection of an EDC system to be implemented and the creation of a new electronic data management department for the execution of EDC trials.

Managed the global implementation and support of two major clinical systems. • Global Programming and Statistical environment / business processes, which provided a more secure, centralized system for the statistical analysis and reporting of clinical trials.• Clintrial Review system, which provided an automated extraction of SAS data from Clintrial and provided a better method for review of clinical data.
