AchievementsTeaching/Motivating - Department Team Leader. Nominated Teacher of the Year last two years. Created "Mars Mission" which received national award for Mars education from Bill Nye the Science Guy. Created, produced and hosted talk/comedy/variety show to showcase inspirational students.Estimating/Bill of Materials/Projects - Defined “standard” versus “custom” projects. Defined “assemblies” by manufacturing station to route material tickets to each. Advised Accounting on Material Control system and linking Estimating, Sales, Material Control and Invoicing via MRP/ERP. Kicked off initiative using Constraint Management for maximization of Throughput (billable product produced in a period) at minimal cost (Inventory and Operating Expense), which involved diagramming and analyzing processes and eliminating bottlenecks which limit Throughput, increase Expense and reduce Profit. Construction/Operations Management – Closed 7 pending State cases within 1st 90 days and never had another one in my 4-year tenure. Employee of the Year 2003. Became senior staff member as others came and went including 3 bosses. Pioneered time-saving steps including new foundation system and procedures for permitting and loan processing. Sales Management – Took a manufactured housing facility from startup to 1st-year profitability on $14M in Sales, including selling 40+ open units from the yard (a monumental feat) while still keeping the plant running with fresh orders and building a full dealer network within 90 days of my hire, in a down market. Put on a highly successful dealer show with only 30 days notice, including banquet, party, hotel, golf and charter planes for 100 or more guests. Took another manufactured housing facility from near-startup to $20M annualized sales within 90 days, all at the required profit margin. Gained P&L and multi-branch warehouse operations experience.
