BU educated lawyer at the intersection of consumer, compliance, and technology. 3 years consulting with SMB financial institutions on mortgage related compliance. Specialized in HMDA, TILA, ECOA, FHA, RESPA, FCRA, GLBA, AML/BSA, and minored in servicing (good money during CARES Act era!). Jumped over to Embrace on the legal side ~3 years ago -- currently serving as Chief Regulatory Counsel and VP, where on any given (sun)day I: - Advise marketing execs on compliance and legal topics, including advertising review, telemarketing law, and a whole shitload of state-specific overlays- Serve as legal and compliance oversight for RESPA Related Arrangements including ASAs, MSAs, lead purchase, co-branding/marketing agreements, and similar. - Facilitate the Fair Lending Actions Group (FLAG), an executive level cross functional group designed to further homeownership goals through our corporate efforts and those of our 501cc3 partners. - Embedded legal and compliance advisor to revenue-focused Agile Methodology group. - Just about anything else I find interesting---and all the general legal work that comes to me. Before law school I worked in internet technologies and social media in Boston and NY after rocking a 4.0 GPA in business at Plymouth State.
