Recruited to Target Technology Services as an IT Manager.Software Development Manager – Stores Development Managed and mentored multiple software development teams responsible for the development architecture in the stores at Target Corporation. ♦ Led the 5 Technical architects who were the highest level developers in the organization, delivered a neutral software development architecture framework. This was conceived to allow any development language to be utilized within the environment. Also created consulting services to allow teams to understand the architecture which leveraged a combination of face-to-face and MS SharePoint collaboration.♦ Worked with a blended team of on-shore (2) and off-shore resources to create and implement a competitive intelligence gathering application which runs on mobile devices. This allowed the organization to react to local pricing anomalies and avoid millions in lost sales. ♦ Developed and deployed an inventory management application which allowed a 40% increase in product pushed directly from trucks to the sales floor.Team Manager – Strategic Engineering Managed an 8-person software and hardware team in the IT engineering area at Target Corporation. ♦ Managed the Developer and Analyst resources responsible for the Microsoft embedded operating system for the POS registers and Pharmacy workstations as well as the Gift Registry and Human Resources kiosks.♦ Managed a 5-member team that evaluated and introducing hardware into stores and headquarters.
