Conceptualized, designed, developed and led development of our robust Point of Sale system used by multiple companies in multiple languages in a near real time environment. Utilized VB, Assembler, HTML, Access, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Stored Procedures, Data Model, VPN, and Dial up (RAS). Lead Developer in Y2K conversion of programs from Zenix to Windows. Fabricated screens and services to handle complex Pricing, Customer, and Product information that was too difficult for the Oracle system to handle. Initiated an Oracle to MS SQL Server transfer where our programs would allow our staff to add information. Our VPN services would then move the information to our 80+ stores. Normalized data taken from laboratory spreadsheets and created a multi-tier MS SQL program allowing the scientists much more control over their data including automatic building of Tint catalogs and Safety data sheets (MSDS) Standardized the POS system from just General Paint to all of the companies in the chain throughout Canada and the United States, including handling 4 languages, multiple different tax systems and different hardware requirements.

• Managed the IT, Dept. • Wrote direct mailing programs for Future Shop, Canadian Red Cross and The Vancouver Art Gallery.• Fully designed and wrote a program that would re-create a large website from a database every night for Red Carpet Real Estate in Nevada.

• Managed the IT, Dept. • Wrote a program that would allow real estate agents to design their promotional materials and business cards. This material would then be uploaded to our digital press and printed for them.
