Clients included: ANZ, IBM, Westpac and IAG.US Patent No 6272495• Researched competitor software designs to evidence originality of the tool, developed prototypes and patented the design in six countries.Team Leadership• Supervision of a team of six programmers and technical writers that translated theoretical designs to a scalable Java program.Westpac Project• The objective was to give bank staff quick access to customer information across all banking, insurance and wealth management products. Used existing ETL tools, combined with COBOL, SQL and IMS to integrate multiple databases. 15 month project worth $13m.IAG Project• The objective was to identify entitlements to discounts for customers buying multiple insurance products (CTP, home, car or personal insurance) across multiple business brands (NRMA, Western Union, Swan). Established a proof of concept within 3 weeks using multiple legacy languages (COBOL, IMS) and built data connectors using a J2EE application server.IBM Project• Invited to join an international team delivering consistent, up-to-date information about customers across all Asia Pacific IBM businesses.AchievementsDeveloped a deep understanding of the data migration challenges for large corporations with multiple legacy languages and thousands of users.
