About Greg Link
Greg is a London-based singer, actor-musician and educator. He works in a range of fields across musical theatre, voiceover, a cappella groups and choirs as both a performer and director around the UK and internationally. For a decade, Greg sang bass with the vocal ensemble Apollo5 with which he performed hundreds of concerts, recorded critically acclaimed albums, and led education projects around the world. He has also arranged many pieces for the group, and for its partner ensemble, VOCES8, which have been performed in concerts and workshops across the globe. Greg now works with various organisations as a performer, educator and director including Disney Theatrical Group, London Symphony Orchestra, VOCES8 Foundation, British Film Institute, National Youth Choir, London Choral Sinfonia, and National Schools Singing Programme. He has performed with vocal groups including Platinum Consort, Shards, Corvus Consort, Echo and Enchord, and is a co-director of Merryweather Theatre, a London-based arts collective with which he writes, develops and performs folk musicals for children at schools, theatres and arts festivals around the UK. Prior to this, Greg studied at The University of Nottingham, McGill University in Montréal, and Royal Northern College of Music, and trained with the National Youth Music Theatre, and National Youth Choir with which he has worked on the music staff as an Assistant Conductor, workshop leader, Section Coach since 2011.Solo highlights include performing with the London Chamber Orchestra, singing in a new chamber opera premiered at Handel House, and 'The Ballad of Whitechapel', a music theatre production debuted at the National Portrait Gallery. As a recording artist, Greg has worked across many genres including large scale classical choral works, pop and jazz a cappella, musical theatre albums, and film soundtracks with London Contemporary Orchestra at Abbey Road & AIR Studios.Greg is passionate about making high quality music-making rewarding, accessible and available to all through singing. He has led workshops in partnership with the BBC and BBC Proms, and has worked on a number of projects across France and Belgium including Festival de la Vézère, Association Sing'In, and Orchestre National d’Auvergne with which he has conducted a series of interactive concerts for children. He has also worked as an adjudicator and workshop leader for a number of international choral festivals including Michigan State Choral Festival, and with ChoirFest Middle East with which he worked with 55 choirs across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
