Integrated into the appropriate product and included on commercial truck chassis such as Ford F Series, Mack and Peterbilt chassisAll designs are produced and communicated using design standards in accordance with ASME Y14.5 for dimensioning and tolerancing

Main responsibilities: Provide end to end design-engineering support to Engineering, Production and Application departmentsLeadership of design projects from concept through to design review and approvalDesign and development of capital equipment, scientific instrumentation such as high-resolution X-ray diffractometers for non-destructive testing used primarily in the semiconductor industryMechanical designs include wafer handling stages, encoded linear and rotary mechanisms and integration of robotic wafer handling solutionsResponsible for X-ray generator designs including electron beam optics, safety shutter design and integration into the systems described aboveLiaise with suppliers and instruct as necessary in the manufacture of precision components to be use in the company’s productsEvaluated designs by carrying out failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) studies on designs prior to releasing to manufacture Solely responsible for Pro/Engineer software installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshootingTook the lead and successfully implemented our design office data management system (DDM). This included system configuration and importation of all legacy Pro/Engineer dataParticipation in company training by ASSA including Kaizen, Skill Control for creating skills matrices, 5S which I've applied in the design office for organization of work using the available project folder structures within DDM. Standard operations which are used to collaborate with the other departments and aid in the creation of build instructions for the production department
