Edge5 experience is to train the trainers, community engagement staff and targeted beneficiaries to learn permaculture design and implement productive self-reliant permaculture garden agriculture systems, that are: ecologically sound, and economically viable, providing healthy nutritious, local food supply lines. HOW:Edge5 uses hands on practical learning and tackles the problems local people identify. Together we develop solutions, techniques and strategies, to redesign and restore the local landscape and rebuild local natural capital of water , soils and plant and tree systems. RESULTS The students themselves can then go out and implement proven solutions to prevent vulnerabilities such as food insecurity , malnutrition, stunting, poverty, and and restore degraded landscapes and design to reduce the impact of natural disaster as well as prepare for climate change. The systems are ecologically sound, and economically viable, providing for their own needs today and for the future.
