Greg is a licensed architect, landscape designer, and educator in California, with over 25 years of experience in practice and teaching. His work spans diverse scales, typologies, and complexities, integrating architecture, landscape architecture, and urbanism to create sustainable, equitable environments that enhance the unique qualities of each place. His research explores transdisciplinary design, focusing on resilient environments that harmonize natural systems, culture, infrastructure, and development.Greg’s work has received national and international recognition and has been published and exhibited in venues including the Venice and Rotterdam Biennales. He has earned accolades from the Architectural League of New York’s Young Architects Forum, AIA, ASLA, and AIA CA. Additionally, he has led sessions at the ASLA and AIA National Conferences on topics such as housing, trauma-informed design, wildfire adaptation, climate resilience, and transdisciplinary design.His research areas include alternative housing strategies centered on equity, affordability, innovative ownership models, and supporting communities impacted by the climate crisis. These efforts encompass community land trusts, land cooperatives, multigenerational and intercultural living, trauma-informed design, permanent supportive and transitional housing, homeless student housing, parametric insurance, wildfire adaptation, and climate migration.Greg teaches in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, with past teaching roles at USC, UCLA, Woodbury University, Otis College of Art and Design, and SCI-Arc. He continues to lecture locally and nationally on the interplay between cultural and natural environments.
