Engineering Specialist Stamping Body Weld
Current Successful launch of the Toyota Corolla Cross. With clear understanding of electrical codes and regulations I managed scope of work and install for all power drops in weld shop saving 150K from original budget. Designed and installed jigs for various process following Toyota tolerance and datum strategy. Found cost effective and innovative ways to improve process cycle time to meet target OP strategy. Wrote quality standards for all process in weld shop to ensure compliance. Built processes and instruction for back up procedures. Installed various vacuum/ventilation systems based on understanding of particulate, CFM, DB and integration needs. Wrote and posted all lockout safety standards to include alternate control methods and COHE to ensure team members were safe in their process. Lead production and maintenance teams through multiple Kaizen activities to improve ergonomics, safety, efficiency, and overall process compliance. Installed error-proofing throughout various processes based on PFMEA calculations and understanding of Six Sigma lean manufacturing techniques. Ensured the safety of myself and others around me. Lead Maximo training and spare parts procurement. Lead engineering changes through build and trials. Sourced and purchased hand/power tools for production. Wrote training procedures for overhead crane, lifts and conveyance equipment then trained all TM’s in weld shop. Launch PE lead in weld shop. Assisted in trouble shooting Omron PLC programming. Procured fixtures/jigs and setup service parts procedure.
