• Translated functional design requirements for a Nuclear Safety (Class 1E) System and assigned to both hardware and software design as part of a flow down design process• Created and presented design change proposals to change review board as part of design revision process• Managed issue resolution between the hardware and software design groups during both the revision process and system testing

• Implemented and customized pattern recognition software (C++ based) capable of increasing productivity and saving thousands of dollars by preventing catastrophic failures• PLC Software development and testing• Tested oscillators (both new and retrofits) to determine if there were any deficiencies in bearings, hydraulic cylinder, springs, PID tuning, servo control system or mechanical structure using tri-axial accelerometers and software developed in-house to determine position and speed from captured data• Commissioned hydraulic cylinder control system using industry leading techniques capable of adjusting mold width during machine operation increasing throughput and product flexibility• Led a team of contractors performing the complete replacement of a PLC system in control of drives and hydraulics
