Metabiomics is a molecular diagnostics company that is developing a non-invasive screening test for earlier and more accurate detection of colon polyps and colon cancer (CRC) based on an advanced interrogation of the human microbiome microbial ecosystem. Our test has the potential to augment colonoscopy as part of a colon cancer screening and prevention strategy, and to dramatically reduce the burden of colorectal cancer in terms of healthcare costs, morbidity and mortality. Colon cancer is the 2nd biggest cancer killer in the US, causing 55k deaths per year and $14B in annual health care costs.
