One of 25 people selected from a 5 county area to participate in the 12 month public leadership development program.The Tampa Bay Public Leadership Institute (PLI) is a non-partisan leadership development program that selects 25 members each year from five Tampa Bay-area counties. Participants explore the possibility of public leadership in the future (without requiring a commitment to run for office) and learn about the political process, leadership and public policy, and the intricacies of running for public office while networking with local leaders. The PLI is driven by a desire to encourage professionals in the region to consider how their experiences and talents could be used to address public issues. PLI participants take a longer-term approach to leadership development by strengthening their networks and receiving an inside look at public issues and politics.

Serves as the Program Manager for the Executive Staff Ride Leadership Program and sits on the Board of Advisors at the Institute. For the past few years I have worked part-time as the Project Manager for The American Land Forces Institute. I developed the executive leadership “staff ride” program for the institute as a way for them to generate income and funds. This program is a leadership development and team building experience for corporate staffs using battlefields as the training tool. We use the battlefield to explore leadership issues relevant to the entire corporation. The staff rides are facilitated by former general officers and I plan the operations for each event controlling the personnel, budget, contracting and logistics as well as facilitating as a small unit leader subject matter expert. Over the years I have expanded this venue from 2 locations (Gettysburg & Antietam) to 5 including Normandy, Little Big Horn and the Philippines. I manage the budget and ensure that the non-profit corporation has as many proceeds as possible. The American Land Forces Institute is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to becoming the nation’s leading advocate for ground forces. We believe that in order to prevail in tomorrow’s wars America must become as dominant on land as it is in the air, on the sea and in space. ALFI will represent active duty and reserve Army, Marine and Special Operating Forces as they seek to dominate and survive in the close ground fight. In addition ALFI will support all those who are dedicated to helping our veterans of ground combat to transition successfully to civilian life.

As Senior Military Analyst at CPG he brings experience of over 20 years in the Army with Light Infantry and Special Operation Units. Greg has commanded small units throughout his military career from Squad Leader to Company Command and has served on staffs from the Battalion through the Division level. Greg has combat experience and knowledge from his military career beginning with Operations in Panama in 1989 through the current conflict in Afghanistan. He also brings experience from the defense industry’s private sector, contributing knowledge and expertise on the nature and character of conflict with many military, industry and commercial contracts involving warfighting concepts. He contributes to CPG’s ability to work with US Army, Marine Corp and Industry including, business development, strategic leadership, military training and education, doctrine, operational concepts and insights and lessons learned from past and present conflicts. He enjoys his work with CPG because he is able to contribute to the development of high performing small unit leaders throughout the military.
