Dean of Nursing and Allied Health ProgramsAt Keiser University, Florida's largest private university, I held a leadership role overseeing program directors and educators in various fields, including Nursing, Medical Assisting, Radiological Technology, Histology, Massage Therapy, and Occupational Therapy Assistant. My responsibilities were multifaceted and involved managing a team of 42 faculty members. Key aspects of my role included:• Curriculum Development and Assessment: I led the development and assessment of curriculum, ensuring its alignment with high academic and ethical standards.• Student Support and Concern Resolution: I facilitated the timely resolution of student concerns, as well as overseeing retention, transcript evaluations, and program planning.• Liaison with Healthcare Agencies: I served as the principal liaison with healthcare agencies, hospitals, and clinical sites, fostering collaborative partnerships.• Compliance and Accreditation: I ensured compliance with SACS accreditation, regulatory, licensing, and other requirements.• Human Resources: My role included managing hiring and disciplinary actions, conducting student evaluations, and ensuring accountability in attendance and grading procedures.• Instructor Training: I was responsible for training instructors in classroom management, conducting observations, and promoting team building among faculty members.During my tenure, I successfully delivered various projects, including the establishment of the A.S. Histotechnology Program and the attainment of accreditations from organizations such as the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
