With over 20 years of industry experience that began in print and quickly evolved into motion graphics, his career eventually spun into CGI animation and visual effects supervision within Alberta. Greg supervised a small team of talented artists with Creative Fields that integrated live action CGI pre-historic creatures and visual effects in the recent CBC series "Equus" which aired in the fall 2018 on the Nature of Things. It also airs on PBS and international broadcasters in Europe in 2019. Equus went on to win 3 Canadian Screen Awards in 2019, including Best Scientific or Nature Program or Series, and also nominated for 8 AMPIA Rosie Awards including Best Animation or Motion Graphics.Greg worked under contract in 2014 as a character animator with the National Film Board of Canada to assist in the post-production of the NFB's first-ever animated feature, Wall, directed by Cam Christiansen. He has worked with with Pyramid Productions, and V Strategies in Calgary. Major past projects have included roles as animator, visual effects supervisor, art director, 3D visualizer and graphic designer. He has taught at SAIT for few years as well in various departments and help developed course content for Red Deer College's new Visual Effects and Animation program that started in 2018. He graduated from ACAD (now the Alberta University of the Arts) 4 year fine arts program as a Dean's List Painting Major in 1994 and he continues to work as a media artist with video art pieces in two upcoming experimental video and film festivals in Scotland and Berlin. He has also shown in media art festivals and exhibitions in Canada, the US, Germany, and Russia in festivals such as Cyfest 11, the European Media Art Festival, and Antimatter in Victoria, British Columbia. He also continues to serve as treasurer on the board of directors at EMMedia, an artist-run centre for media art in Calgary since 2013.
