* Led the development of Tracer's highest priority features as the technical lead from writing project artifacts (PRDs/RFCs/test plans) through coordinating with our CS team for production release ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. * Some recent examples were a number of infrastructural changes as well as UI updates that allowed our users more flexibility in mapping data from one source to another in order to report on those together (for example linking ads served on Facebook with webpage actions measured by Google Analytics). All of these changes were delivered early and released without any regressions, both of which were rare occurrences at the company.* Acted as the primary domain expert for the majority of Tracer's 15+ API integrations.* Authored several refactors to improve readability, reusability and test coverage of our ETL code, which substantially hastened the release of subsequent integrations using that infrastructure. * Liaised regularly with our CS team (who were also Tracer's biggest users) about feature prioritization and UX/UI pain points to ensure the work I was delivering was maximally impactful to the end user.* Regularly mentored junior engineers & our technical success team, providing guidance and seeking out projects that would both deliver value to the company as whole as well as help them grow.* Championed an effort to increase code coverage in key areas of our tool, including the authoring of a custom test in our Github actions workflow that would fail any file whose code coverage had decreased from its previous state.* Was the go to engineer on projects that required delivering high quality code under tight external deadlines.

* Led a team of 5 junior to mid-level engineers to whom I provided mentorship via weekly 1:1s and frequent code reviews.* Split time approximately 50/50 between managerial responsibilities and writing code.* Team responsibilities included integrating new partner platforms into Tracer, fixing various bugs across the codebase & providing urgent workarounds for high priority clients whose needs were not yet met by Tracer's core functionality.* Had weekly meetings with our CS team to gather user feedback and to jointly prioritize bug fixes and special projects based on a common understanding of impact, lift and whether the work for the special projects would ultimately be reusable.* Met directly with many of Tracer's clients in order to better understand the details of their use cases and pain points, as well as to provide technical explanations of prioritization decisions and timeline estimates.

This role was a continuation of the role before it, but we went from being an internal team at Vaynermedia to a being a separate company, Tracer.

* Wrote and maintained code base for a web-based reporting tool that is integrated with major social media and digital advertising platforms.* Setup and maintained API integrations with platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Google Ads & LinkedIn.* Optimized overnight production ETL workflows resulting in data being delivered earlier and more reliably for the agency.* Provide one-off custom data pulls using raw SQL and/or Python scripts for asks that the tool was not equipped for.
