CurrentThe Health and Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures. This role involves monitoring the workplace environment, educating employees about safe practices, and implementing safety programs to promote a culture of safety and health.Brief Summary: Safety Compliance - Ensure compliance with provincial, and federal health and safety regulations. - Maintain and update health and safety policies and procedures as needed.Risk Assessment - Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments of workplace environments. - Identify potential hazards and recommend measures to eliminate or control risks.Training and Education - Develop and deliver training programs on health and safety practices for employees. - Keep staff informed about new regulations and safety protocols.Incident Management - Investigate workplace accidents and near misses to determine causes and preventative measures. - Prepare reports on incidents and make recommendations for improvement.Emergency Preparedness - Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure readiness. - Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services as necessary.Reporting and Documentation - Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, trainings, incidents, and compliance measures. - Prepare and present reports to management on health and safety performance.Culture of Safety - Promote a culture of safety through communication and engagement with all levels of staff. - Encourage employees to take responsibility for their own safety and that of their colleagues.
