Leads policy and strategic initiatives directed at promoting development and growth in various sectors of the economy. Risk Management | Leadership of Finance and Administration functions | Lead External Audit process for the Department | Maintain and Develop Financial Controls, Accounting processes and Financial Systems |Lead the Budget and Financial Reporting Processes | Align Budget to Procurement and Strategic Objectives | Develop & Maintain Financial Management Policies, Systems and Processes | Provide guidance and advice on Financial Management Practices, Processes and Requirements to the Head of Department, Programme Managers and Responsibility Managers | Liaise with the Provincial and National Treasuries and the Auditor General | Manage Financial Resources of the Finance and Supply Chain business units | Provide leadership and guidance with regards to adherence to policies, procedures, norms and standards pertaining to prescribed regulations i.e. IFRS, PFMA, Constitution, Labour Relations, Procurement Prescripts et al. | Manage the Human Resources of the Business Units including Supervision, Discipline, Motivation, Career Pathing and Training and Development.
