•Responsible for all business operations for Simplot Partners, the distribution channel of the J.R. Simplot Company for proprietary pest management, plant nutrients and turf maintenance products to the golf, lawn care and horticulture marketplace. •Accountable for purchasing, employee management, inventory control and management, forecasting and planning and managing all sales order fulfillment and deliveries throughout the Northwest as well as DOT and EPA compliance. •Ensure Company directives pertaining to safety, profitability, customer service, quality control and budget are maintained and enforced throughout the organization.•Responsible for planning and purchasing fertilizer and chemical goods for resale. This includes negotiating pricing and terms as well as managing vendor buying programs to ensure competitive pricing on volume and off-peak purchases.•Manage and maintain vendor relationships and consignment inventory as well as source and setup new vendors as necessary.•Responsible for all employee relation activities to include hire/fire, disciplinary actions, review/merit processes and work schedules.•Significantly reduced the amount of excess “Slow Moving and/or Dead” inventory as well as a 50% reduction in the amount of off-site leased storage space.

•Significantly improved distribution efficiencies as the lead operations resource in the redesign of fulfillment process combining two ERP operating systems (Oracle JD Edwards E1 and JD Edwards XE). Documented all “As Is” and “To Be” processes, change analysis and report requirements. Created use cases, implementation plan and risk mitigations. Documented and trained end users. Resulted in greater than 50% reduction in order to ship timeline.•Developed detailed technical specifications for new processes, reports, and applications through CAD’s (Change Analysis Document) and SIR’s (System Investigation Request).•ERP implementations/upgrades included JD Edwards XE to Oracle JD Edwards E1 for U.S. operations, BV-32 to Oracle JD Edwards E1 for Canadian operations and Lawson to Oracle JD Edwards E1 for European operations. Resulted in the obsolescing of 3 legacy systems reducing maintenance and support costs. •Implemented, trained and supported Data Systems International (DSI) RF Barcode device applications in Distribution Center. Translated end user business needs to design, document, test and implement software application solution. •Acted as primary end user support for inventory, distribution and logistics. Daily duties included application and report development and providing ongoing production support.

•Coordinated regional distribution facility start-up in Las Vegas, NV. This included facility layout design, staffing, and setting up operating systems as well as coordinating all transportation and logistics services for parcel, LTL and FTL shipments. Managed facility until closure in 2003, when distribution operations were consolidated with facility in Vancouver, WA. •Monitored and directed quality and inventory control programs to consistently meet established standards.•Wrote and maintained performance metrics, processes and procedures and ensured productivity levels were met. Planned, organized and controlled projects, training and development activities.•Worked with senior management to develop and implement a small package optimization program for the Direct Division. This operating plan incorporated “zone skipping” to five United Parcel Service Distribution facilities. This resulted in annual savings of over $1.5M and a reduction in in-transit damages by over 50%.
