I managed the HR function for PwC’s legal practice in Singapore, a greenfield ‘people’ role in what was then a newly established start-up practice with an innovative business model.I recruited, inducted and onboarded staff. I developed and implemented an appraisal framework for managing fee-earners' and support staff members’ performance, development and career progress. I led remuneration, salary benchmarking, performance bonus and insurance coverage recommendations plus other budgeting reviews. I drafted then rolled-out HR policies to an international law firm standard. I played a key hands on role in building the office culture and providing a balancing/EQ (pastoral care) remit with high service touch points across the practice.
