Being a retail General Manager is exactly what you'd think it's like. I'm the person at work that everyone comes to but not many want to be. If you need anything taken care of, you come to me, and my whole team knows that! The thing is, not everyone has what it takes to do what I do because of the amount of personal time and effort that goes into being everyone's go-to.Luckily, I love it. Taking the burden off my team member's shoulders brings me genuine joy. Being able to enhance their professional skills to the level of personal growth not seen with other teams is something I am obsessed with. There are not many things that can grow a company the way that a dependable, team focus leader can, and I pride myself in being that.When I'm not at work, I love all things sports! I play competitive softball and enjoy being able to get out on a beautiful day with my girlfriend of 20+ years and try to contribute to my team in a sport I have played nearly my whole life. At my core, I am a caring, loyal, and honest person and that's all it really comes down to. I believe in everyone that wants to succeed and grow their careers as if they were all my teammates. I will bend over backwards to help others, but I also understand the balance and importance of standing your own ground. One of my favorite sayings is “The bad news is time flies.
