I worked on the Design Platform team to develop and engineer high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, well-tested components used throughout the Squarespace platform.Some of the best things Squarespace has taught me are:- HUMBLENESS: How to put down my ego & be humble, how to listen to others, how to see my own & others' strengths & weaknesses, and how to better communicate effectively- GOOD API: The importance of taking extra time to reason out an API that's flexible, clean, and "future-proof"- USING OPEN-SOURCE CODE: The pros & cons of using third-party libraries and how to integrate them into an existing, or new, feature- DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE: Seeing through the development lifecycle of features, from beginning to end, and keeping them decently maintained- FEATURE MIGRATION: How to migrate existing components to new ones without breaking their existing UI, UX, & expected behavior- TEST QUALITY & COVERAGE: The importance of writing good unit & integration so you and your coworkers can have confidence in a component or function's expected behavior- TEAMWORK: Being able to work effectively across teams and within teams- PULL REQUESTS: How to write pull requests that are aesthetically attractive, as well as how to better review other PRs by focusing on the right things

▪ Using React with Redux to build a better version of our existing site.▪ Developing a shared endpoint schema for our API with the back-end team.▪ Daily standups with front-end and back-end teams to stay in-sync.▪ Collaborating with the designers to implement UI/UX mockups.▪ Using a local Docker setup and Postman to test API endpoints.

▪ Hybrid app development and testing for both mobile and desktop systems using JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and Node. Used an MVC back-end with a RESTful API and some unit testing.▪ Developed a project tracking system in our CMS for our photographers, project managers, and clients to track the stages of tour production.▪ Implemented mobile geolocation tracking, batching requests from Node to our database, and using Google Maps API to view campus paths and hotspots.▪ Organized large-scale analytics of site visitor data into useful reports in our CMS using jQuery DataTables for our clients to view and download.▪ Worked on embedding tours into 3rd party websites using JavaScript with JSONP to load iframe settings.▪ Coordinated with design, sales, and marketing to implement A/B testing with a massive redesign and refactor for our visitor registration form, using jQuery, AJAX, PHP, and MySQL.▪ Daily standups, Jira, and git workflow for tasks, code reviews, QA, staging, and release.

▪ Built a calendar and scheduling application using PHP, MySQL/MSSQL, and JavaScript for managing technician availability.▪ Implemented a Vehicle GPS viewer using Google Maps API with JavaScript for monitoring technician proximity to their scheduled appointments.▪ Created a Yelp review scraper that would email our recent Yelp reviews to our staff.▪ Built an admin portal using JavaScript/Auth0 single-sign-on through Google. Used Wordpress for viewing work shift calendars, technician locations, and Yelp reviews.
