Apple named the magazine in its 'Best of 2013' apps on the iTunes store in December 2013 – the only Future Publishing digital title to receive such an accolade. As Editor I liaised with the Press Association's top journalists, ran a team of three editorial staff, commissioned and proofed the entire magazine, including briefing the likes of world-renowned football writers Jonathan Wilson and Michael Cox on what they should write about in each weekly edition of the magazine. I also contributed frequently to the magazine and used technical skills to help build each weekly edition. Football Week greatly impressed BT Sport, Mirror Online and News UK (with an acquisition discussed), and many of our competitors recognised the product as genuinely pushing the envelope regarding digital media. We also had a spinoff website, which I edited too (www.thefootballweek.net), as well as social media channels and a weekly newsletter. Show less
