My goal is to contribute to the transition by working to make our community more sustainable, and lower our energy consumption. With strong theoretical and practical foundations in the field of renewable energy, and a specialisation in low-energy building system design, I want to take part in projects that allow me to reach my professional objective by using my technical knowledge and creativity.I’m even more motivated by having already participated in such projects. Some, of academic nature, have improved my capacity for teamwork and allowed me to develop communication skills.Others, such as the IngénieuxSud project from Louvain Coopération, also allowed me to sharpen my sense of initiative as well as develop practical skills and soft skills like planning, managing a budget, etc.During a double degree exchange program at Polytechnique Montréal, I had the occasion to work on a test bench at the CanmetENERGY research centre, as part of my thesis. It gave me experience in working in a company, as well as in technical aspects of experimental work like managing sensors and measuring devices, and data analysis. Furthermore, I presented this work in a conference paper, that I afterwards presented at the international Building Simulation 2019 conference in Rome — a great experience !The main contribution from my thesis is a model for variable capacity heat pumps. Even though my thesis is complete and my diploma is in the bag, I decided to work a little bit more on the project to refine and document the model so that it is usable by the public, and by doing so give an impact — and thus meaning — to my work. I am for now finishing a journal paper aiming to present an overview of the model operation and usage. I am therefore looking for a job to pursue my professional objective. Always looking to improve myself, I also want to find a job where I can learn and assimilate new skills.
