I'm a digital professional who's worked in the industry since 2004. I'm currently freelancing, with one Canada’s most successful cannabis companies as my main client. I’m currently in the process of transforming my personal brand, Barney’s Updates, into a 'Digital Handyman' service focused on small businesses in need of a digital upgrade at a reasonable cost. Throughout my time in media, I helped deliver digital products worth millions of dollars on behalf of iconic publishing brands such as Chatelaine, Today's Parent, Maclean's, Canadian Business, MoneySense and FLARE, as well as Canadian broadcast giants History Television, Showcase and National Geographic Channel. I have been entrusted to manage all content initiatives for a multi-million dollar partnership between Rogers Media and HSBC and have serviced hundreds of priority sponsorship programs for clients including—but not limited to—Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Royal Bank, Samsung, General Electric and the National Hockey League.The most passionate project of my Digital career is a globally recognized brand in the underground house music community. I launched bringthebeats online in 2002 and have worked tirelessly for it to become one of Toronto's longest-standing music and event promotions. I've developed my social media expertise through bringthebeats' thriving Facebook and SoundCloud pages, as well as it's Twitter and YouTube accounts. My personal network is just as extensive, providing a far-reaching audience for frequent opinion posts on sports, pop culture and social justice.
