I have broad experience in wind energy and energy meteorology, from 27 years in the world's leading research institution for wind energy. This broad background is now used as main entrance door for the collaborative center DTEC, with TotalEnergies, where we work in conjunction on research and education of their work force. My main scientific topic is energy meteorology, especially the short-term prediction of wind power. This is used by utilities, transmission system operators and wind farm operators. I authored a 111-page state-of-the-art report on the subject, which has been cited more than 1000 times (see below). The knowledge acquired is also used in the larger framework of large-scale integration of wind power in the grid, and related future scenario studies. I'm also heading the IEA Wind Task on the subject.
