Art Director
CurrentAs Art Director for Battle Spins, my responsibilities and day-to-day tasks are, but not limited to:• Collaborate with Artists, Art Producer/Lead, Game Designers, Programmers, Dev Ops and Project Producers on developing and enhancing visuals needed for the game like characters, UI assets and elements, illustrations and advertising materials.• Delegate necessary tasks to Artists as needed, like additional conceptualization, final render, render corrections and raw file uploads.• Handling visual development and final render of UI elements and assets in-game, with collaboration from all the departments. Optimization and turn-over of said elements and assets to Technical Artist/s for integration to Unity.• Addressing feedback and changes that are art or design related given by other departments. I can handle directly or delegate to respective Artists depending on level of expertise needed to adjust, while still maintaining artistic integrity.• Updating art and design style guide/bible when parts of art/design tasks are done to maintain proper references for future use or re-use, with collaboration from the Art Producer/Lead.• Updating and maintaining game UI assets and components as necessary to maintain proper references for future use or re-use.• Stay up to date with current game visual trends, research and document interesting and potential visual styles that can be used for current games or future games. Some are forwarded to Artists or respective departments for knowledge growth or future brainstorm on how it can be implemented in development pipeline.
