About Gregório Luz

Urban Mobility Researcher at the Center for Politics and Economics in the Public Sector Studies of Getulio Vargas Foundation (CEPESP-FGV) working in projects funded by the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), the United Kingdom Prosperity Fund, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC) and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). I am also a researcher at the think-and-do-tank Cordial Institute in projects in partnership with Uber Brazil and Belo Horizonte municipality. Previously, I worked as a researcher in an e-mobility R&D project funded by the Brazilian National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) in partnership with Siemens, Volkswagen, AUDI, Porsche and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and at the Center of Studies in Infrastructure Regulation (CERI) of Getulio Vargas Foundation (CERI-FGV) in projects funded by the United Kingdom Prosperity Fund and the Brazilian Federal District Government. I was also an advisor to the Under-Secretary of Transports of the State of Rio de Janeiro. I hold a Master's degree in Transport Engineering (Cities and Mobilities) from the Transport Engineering Program of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PET-COPPE/UFRJ) and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transport Engineering also from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Currently, I am enrolled in a second master's degree in Public Administration and Government (Politics and Economics of Public Sector) at the Sao Paulo School of Business Administration of Getulio Vargas Foundation (EAESP-FGV) investigation the political gains of transport infrastructure investments. During my bachelor's studies, I participated in an academic exchange program at the M.Sc. Architectural Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, where I worked as a research assistant at IMM Design Lab in urban morphology projects. I was a Civil engineering intern at the BRT Transbrasil and a summer intern at the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP). Also, during my undergraduate studies, I worked as a junior researcher at the Sustainable Urban Design Lab of the Graduate Program in Urban Engineering of UFRJ and at the Transport Engineering Program of COPPE/UFRJ.
