Recruited by CEO to launch $4 million integrated development initiative, which grew into a permanent department with 12 employees working to promote an intentional, unified programming approach to address global human development challenges. Established framework, conducted extensive research and modeling, built suite of integration tools, and gained buy-in from stakeholders across the organization.▪ Positioned organization as a leading voice on integrated development value and best practices by launching and facilitating Global Summit on Integration with more than 300 attendees. Represented the agency with Congress, the private sector, foundations, institutional donors, and NGOs.▪ Supported the Obama Administration’s “Rebalance to Asia” strategy by guiding the development and approval of country mission strategic plans. Coordinated across the State Department, Congress, Department of the Treasury, and other key stakeholders. Testified before Senate East Asian and Pacific Subcommittee. ▪ Led reopening of the USAID Mission in Myanmar following a 24-year closure, which paved the way for President Obama’s historic visit in 2012 as he became the first sitting U.S. president to visit the country. ▪ Chaired U.S. Government’s inter-agency committee that launched President Obama’s Partnership for Growth, a whole-of-government bilateral engagement between the Philippines and U.S. Government to address binding constraints to economic growth and development. Skillfully orchestrated efforts of 8 government departments and 3 agencies, aligning resources to enable 92% increase in GDP, 74% increase in tax collections, and major regulatory reforms in the Philippines.▪ Instrumental in building organizational structure for the Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI), a regional collaboration among Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam with support from the U.S. Hired and oversaw mission directors, engaged closely with the offices of Secretaries of State Clinton and Kerry, and coordinated programming to promote stability, peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for the 60 million people living in the sub-region.▪ Transformed operating model of regional offices to facilitate more integrated service delivery at the mission level.
