Gregory (Greg) Amparano is recently retired executive from Fluor Corporation whose career has focused on the execution of major infrastructure projects. As the Senior Vice President Operations for Fluor’s Infrastructure Business Line, he had global responsibility for infrastructure projects including highway, bridge and transit in excess of seven billion dollars in value. Prior to his operations role, Greg was the Chief Risk Officer with responsibility for Corporate Risk Management and Enterprise Risk. Greg started with Fluor as an associate engineer in 1985 and has held a wide range of positions encompassing engineering, project management, and executive management. Mr. Amparano has extensive experience in project management, and design–build construction in the Public Private Partnership (P3) Environment. He has led a number of P3 projects ranging from the first-of-a-kind LUL Connect Private Finance Initiative that began in 1999 to Eagle P3 Project in Denver where he served from 2010 to 2014 as the General Manager of Denver Transit Holdings, and as CEO of Denver Transit Partners. Greg represented Fluor on a number of P3 project boards including Chairman of the LAX Integrated Express Solutions (LINXS) Developer Board for the LAX Integrated People Mover Project and Chairman of Bridging North America (BNA) for the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project in Windsor Canada and Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP) light rail project in Maryland USA. In March 2020, Greg was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Engineering & Construction Risk Institute (ECRI) an independent industry body established as an initiative of the World Economic Forum. In June 2020, Greg was appointed to the Board of Poseidon Resources Channelside Holdings for the desalination plant in Carlsbad, California. Effective August 2020, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board appointed Greg to the Oversight Committee for capital improvements in transportation infrastructure.
