Plant Engineer
CurrentDirect, coordinate, and advise Plant Engineering and Maintenance Teams, as member of site senior management team, on the following activities: maintenance of total operation, safety and loss control, productivity, quality and sanitation, inventory/purchasing and spare parts control, and compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations, including EPA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA. • Partner with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategic vision for three (3) year capital plan prioritizing the needs of the facility and production maintenance programs to achieve overall business goals. • Actively lead site projects to include PET, additional capacity for flour truck unloading, packing line upgrades, mixer replacement, CHEP system upgrade, and upcoming site electrical capacity improvement. • Manage the engineering and maintenance annual capital budgets (between $10 million to $15 million) and annual $4.5 million maintenance and repairs budget. • Review production, quality control, distribution and maintenance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to plan, modify, and redirect project and capital activities, as needed.• Develop preventative/predictive maintenance plans and programs reducing the overall operating cost and improve machine reliability and efficiency.• Member of management bargaining committee for both the IAM and IUOE contract negotiations.• Manage effective employee/labor relations including labor relations, grievance investigations, corrective actions, and performance management.• Site IM Pillar Leader.
